A semi-submarine (batiscaph) is not a real submarine. The hull of the vessel is partially submerged, and passengers sit in a glazed cabin below the waterline. Large portholes give a view of the coral reef and its inhabitants. The cabin is completely watertight and dry.
Sharm El Sheikh reefs are among the richest in the Red Sea. Through the portholes you will see: colourful corals - soft and hard, reef fish - parrotfish, angelfish, clownfish, surgeonfish, reef sharks (small and completely harmless), sea turtles, octopuses, and much more. The tour lasts about 2 hours with several stops at different sections of the reef.
The semi-submarine is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to see the underwater world but cannot swim or does not want to dive. Suitable for children from age 3, elderly visitors, pregnant women, and people with limited mobility. No physical preparation required. No equipment needed.
Tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Hotel transfer included. Price $30 per adult, $15 per child. Tour runs daily. Bring light clothing and sunscreen for time on deck.
